Renewable Energy Sources (RES) are the sources of energy that are inexhaustible, free and their production units cause no pollution to the environment.


Today, due to political, social and economic factors, the RES market in Greece has not developed enough and the electricity production market has not yet been fully deregulated.

In the energy sector, Rokas has constructed a number of Wind Farms, either on behalf of the Public Power Corporation (PPC) or for its own energy subsidiaries, being today the leading Renewable Energy Sources producer in Greece. Rokas has installed today, through its subsidiaries, 15 wind farms of 200.3 MW total installed capacity and a Photovoltaic Park in Crete of 171.6 KW since 2001.

In the sector of electromechanical projects, Rokas is highly specialized in the design, construction and installation of lifting and handling equipment and it has constructed a considerable number of projects for ports, shipyards and other industries in Greece and abroad.
